Pride Month (June)

During the month of June, the LGBT+ community celebrates ‘Pride Month’. Pride Month is celebrated during June as it is when the Stonewall Riots took place in 1969. Throughout this month, people across the world celebrate in a range of different ways, such as parades, street parties, peaceful protests and public speaking events.

Not only is pride month a time for celebration but also a time where individuals and communities work together to raise awareness and break down negative stigmas surrounding the LGBTQ+ community.
